When I first came to Parker in 2003, I could feel the warmth of the community and the high expectations for every student’s creative and critical engagement. I felt the excitement in their learning and playing together. I recognized that the culture was one where talented teachers value knowing students individually, so they can craft the education around every child’s unique strengths and passions.
These qualities are what make Parker a place where students love to come each day—a community devoted to giving them the most interesting, active and thought-provoking education possible. (Read my Perspectives on Parker blog for a first-hand look at what makes ours such a special learning environment.)
Our alumni tell me that the Parker education has influenced them more than any other. Their stories refer to the core values they learned here—creativity, independent thinking, belief in one’s convictions—and how now, in hindsight, they can begin to appreciate how valuable the experience really was.
So rather than have me tell you why I believe so strongly in Parker, I invite you to explore our website – or better yet, come visit – to see, and read, and watch, and connect, and experience it all for yourself.
